Oasis Landscapes & Irrigation is a full-service landscape company. We offer residential and commercial maintenance services, as well as design/build services.
Oasis offers singular, seasonal, and regular landscape services. We do one-time landscape designs, installations, upgrades and renovations.
We also offer seasonal services such as leaf control, lawn cleanup, seasonal color plantings, pruning, aeration, etc.
Finally, we offer regular maintenance services on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
Successful landscape design involves knowing which plants grow best in your USDA growing zone. Atlanta falls into USDA Hardiness Zone 7b.
Zone 7b’s minimum average temperature is 5 to 10 degrees. The first frost date is approximately November 15, while the last frost date is around April 15.
Zone 7 is relatively temperate, which means that many annuals and perennials thrive throughout the growing season. Summers are warm and damp, providing sufficient water for landscaping success. Additionally, this zone doesn’t see the minimum listed temperature very often.

Georgia has six soil provinces. Fulton County falls into the Southern Piedmont province. The predominant soil type is Georgia red clay.
Georgia clay is a thick, heavy soil that derives its reddish color from iron oxides. Most hilly areas feature clay soils and result from hot, wet, humid weather combining with crystalline rocks.
While rich in nutrients, clay soil can make it difficult to dig and to avoid soil compaction. Amending heavy clay with organic matter, composted leaves, and/or gypsum can help.
